Kaitlyn is more than excited to be returning to Arts for Youth this year! She is looking forward to her fourth summer teaching dance and the opportunity to share her enthusiasm and knowledge with all of the campers once again. Kaitlyn has been attending dance classes since the age of three. She began more serious training while in high school at Dance Theater of New England in Bridgewater, where she developed a love and passion for performing and teaching. Kaitlyn went on to attend Dean College to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance.
While at Dean she trained in various techniques of dance, including ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap and hip hop, as well as enjoyed her academic courses in Dance Pedagogy, Creative Movement, Sociology, and many more. When not in class Kaitlyn spent her time as a member of the college’s Dance Company, Dance Team, Community Outreach group, Student Activities club and various leadership and honors societies. After receiving her degree in May of 2014 she plans to pursue a career in dance performance as well as return to school to study Nutrition in dancers.
